Hands pinning red French lace on the dress form

Welcome to the atelier

Since 2011, every Ewa Herzog piece has been made in Berlin. Not in a factory on the other side of the world, but here with us, in our own atelier. Every pattern is designed here, every fabric is cut here, every seam is sewn here by hand.

This is exactly what we want to share with you. From now on, we will regularly take you behind the scenes: to the fabrics we choose, to the women who sew our pieces, and to the small moments in which a sketch becomes a garment.

From the atelier

Why we work slowly

For us, slow fashion is not a buzzword. It means that we make many pieces only once you order them. That is why delivery can take up to two weeks. During that time, your piece lies on our table and receives the attention it deserves.

Our signature, the lace, comes from France. And because we sew everything ourselves, we can adjust your piece to your measurements or make it entirely made to measure.

Women who love their craft

Our atelier is home to women who practise their craft with passion and great care. Every piece you buy from us secures their jobs here in Berlin and preserves a craft that is becoming ever rarer.

New from the atelier

Herringbone tweed meets French lace

This autumn we fell in love with a fabric: black and white herringbone tweed, flecked with fine colourful slubs. 100% wool, warm yet light. We paired it with our black floral lace. Rugged meets delicate.

Emmy, our French bulldog, in the showroom

The heart of our showroom

Emmy

Meet Emmy. She came to us as a refugee dog from Ukraine, and we adopted her. Today our little French bulldog lady is the heart of our showroom. She is strict, sometimes a little condescending, but always honest. When you try something on, she looks very closely to see whether it fits and whether you look good in it. Emmy never lies. If something isn't right, one look from her sends you straight back to the fitting room.
