§1 Use of your data

As you are aware, we use your personal data, which is provided during the ordering process, to fulfill your order and – where necessary – this information is also passed to third parties, for example, to delivery companies.

We only share your personal data which is provided for order processing with other companies when this is necessary to fulfill your order, or when required by law.

We check your creditworthiness by transferring data on the application, acceptance and termination of this contract to SCHUFA HOLDING AG, Kormoranweg 5 in 65201 Wiesbaden and obtain information about you from SCHUFA, insofar as this is permissible after weighing up our interest against your interest to exclude such a transfer.

Furthermore, after due consideration of all interests involved, we shall also transfer to SCHUFA, data related to non-contractual behaviour, such as improper use of a payment card.

SCHUFA only makes personal data available if a justified interest is credibly presented in each specific case. SCHUFA provides address data for the purpose of identifying debtors. When providing information, SCHUFA can additionally provide its contractual partners with a probability value calculated from its data pool for assessing the credit risk (the so-called “score procedure”).

Furthermore, we may use and process your personal data for our own marketing purposes, such as market research by telephone, if you grant us your consent by clicking the appropriate button. If you grant us your consent to send further information, you also agree that we can give your address to our partner companies for the purpose of postal advertising. Whenever you wish, you can view the status of your consent at www.ewaherzog.com. You can revoke your consent by informing us, for example, by telephone or by sending an e-mail.

§2 Viewing, correcting and deleting your personal data

You can view, correct and delete your personal data in your customer account, after using your username and password to logon to your account.

 

§3 Right to view, correct, delete and block your data

Upon request, we shall provide you free of charge with information on the data we keep about you in accordance with Section 34 of the German Federal Data Protection Act. Furthermore, you have the right to demand at any time that we correct, delete or block your personal data. However, we shall only delete the data if the order process has been fully completed. Data is deleted in accordance with the constraints set by the tax office.

 

§4 Use of Cookies

Cookies are files which serve as identifiers. We place these on your computer’s hard drive with the aid of your web browser and can read the cookies whenever you visit our websites. We use a pseudonym on these so-called permanent cookies to protect your data. On the other hand, we do not encrypt our session cookies. However, these are protected against being viewed by third parties through the security standards of your browser.

By using cookies, your browser is identified. In this way, it is possible for us, for example, not to frequently display advertisements for our seasonal articles. At the same time, we want to match our offers with your preferences.

§5 Use of tracking pixels

These are small graphic images which we use on our websites. If you open a page, the tracking pixel is loaded from an Internet server and registered with us along with the IP address you use and, if appropriate, with your cookie ID as well (see § 4 Use of cookies). In this way, we can exactly follow the pages you visit and the actions you perform there.

We use the information we obtain about you to present our Internet advertising on our advertising websites to you in a targeted manner.

If you prefer not to have a personalized profile assembled automatically, you can object at any time. To do so, send an e-mail to: info[at]ewaherzog.com. In this case, however, we shall continue to use cookies and only exclude you from the analysis process. Your personalized data will then no longer be analyzed by us.

 

§6 Use of personalized links in newsletters

By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to having your interests automatically analyzed when newsletter images are accessed by your e-mail program or when you actively click on a link. This enables us to match our offers with your preferences. We do not give this data to our partner companies, nor to other third parties.

If you object to your interests being automatically analyzed as a result of accessing the newsletter images, it is possible to receive a plane text version of our newsletter. In this case, your interests will only be automatically analyzed if you actively click on a personalized link. At the end of every newsletter, you will find a link which will enable you to change the format of the newsletter.

§7 Google Analytics-Datenschutzerklärung

Diese Website benutzt Google Analytics, einen Webanalysedienst der Google Inc. („Google“).
